The Openair Hohen Rätien festival is a class of its own - and is still getting better every year! Big kudos to the organizers for making this event possible!
The pictures can be found
here and in the usual place (flickr).
A wonderful festival is over and everything went better than we could ever imagine. This year's performers where: Dabu Fantastic, Transmartha, Gulliver and Brothertunes. A huge thank you to all the helping hands, sponsors and the organizers Cathy, Rino, Luzi, Georg and Sam.

Preparations on this year's Hohen Raetien festival are proceeding full steam. Lots of work has been done and I don't want to withhold details from where the action is:
This year, I was for the second time at the Rapperswil Blues'n'Jazz festival, but for the first time with my camera. Check out the pictures on my flickr page.
The photos of the first climate neutral festival in the swiss alps are ready for your viewing pleasures. Thanks to everyone who made this great festival possible!
Some nice shots are shown below, the rest can be found in the Openair Hohen Rätien Gallery.
Wow, I finally managed to visit the legendary Jazz festival in Pori, Finland. Thanks to Mr. Benhacker's family I enjoyed free room and board in Pori (kiitos to Mummo!!!). No question I opted for Pori Jazz and gave Montreux a no-go (BTW, Sly & the Family Stone were fresh in Pori in contrast to other recent gigs.)
You can check out some pictures right here or on flickr.
It is my pleasure to announce that tickets for one of the finest festivals (you believe me that, don't ya?) are on offer now! Ticket sales are limited due to geographic size constraints at the location. First come first served. Or, to put it in a more suggestive language: Go get it now! What are you waiting for?
This years theme is global warming and the organizers have teamed up with myclimate to compensate for the CO2 emissions caused by the festival. That's a nice idea, and worth a blog entry, I guess.
For the art fanatics among us, check out the festival flyer below. I though I hould give my Wacom tablet a try and I'm quite happy with the result.
